The KTM 125 EXC Enduro, a bike that defied expectations with its surprising performance and riding experience. Initially, we thought it would be a chore to ride, with its 125cc two-stroke engine struggling to keep up with larger bikes. But as we spent more time on it, we discovered a bike that was fast without being loud, easy to ride, and remarkably quiet.
Its lightweight chassis, weighing in at a claimed 97kg dry, made it incredibly flickable and agile. We found ourselves navigating tight logs and creek beds with ease, the bike’s strong mid-range torque allowing us to ferret around with precision.
But what truly impressed us was the bike’s ability to deliver blistering lap times, with our tester Evan managing an astonishing 3:55 – just off the pace of his highly modified Yamaha WR450F. It was clear that the KTM 125 EXC Enduro was a force to be reckoned with, and one that we couldn’t wait to ride again.
