The rain-soaked streets outside the Harley-Davidson plant in York, PA, were the perfect backdrop for our upcoming adventure. With almost 400 miles of riding ahead, we set off on the FXDS Convertible, a versatile bike that’s equal parts long-haul tourer and stylish cruiser.
Its sport chassis provides a rigid platform and isolates the rider from vibration, making it an ideal companion for both highway travel and twisty roads. The 45-degree V-twin engine is at its best when cruising at a relaxed pace, its smooth power delivery perfect for soaking up the scenery.
As we rode through the Adirondack Region’s swooping two-lane roads and into Manhattan’s urban jungle, the Convertible proved itself to be a do-it-all bike, capable of handling everything from highway cruising to city streets with ease.
