Ducati 175TS Turismo Speciale (1962 – 65)

Ducati 175TS Turismo Speciale (1962 - 65)

Ducati’s 175TS Turismo Speciale is a highly sought-after motorcycle that embodies the essence of Italian engineering and style.

Launched in 1962, this model boasted an advanced single overhead cam, bevel-driven engine, a direct descendant of the renowned Taglioni 98cc Gran Sport Marianna. With its various trim levels, including S Sport, T Turismo, Americano, Formula 3, and Motocross, the 175TS offered something for every rider.

The Sport model, in particular, stood out as a capable performer, reaching speeds of up to 84mph while achieving an impressive 100mpg. Its exceptional handling and braking capabilities were thanks to its whip-free chassis, dry weight of just 103kg, and large full aluminum brake hubs.

This legendary motorcycle’s rich history is further highlighted by the existence of the Silverstone Super, a tuned version offered by British importers Kings of Manchester, capable of reaching an astonishing 95mph.
