Features
The Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro epitomizes MV Agusta’s commitment to handmade craftsmanship. Every element of this masterpiece on two wheels is designed at Centro Stile MV Agusta and meticulously developed in the brand’s sole production facility in Varese. Each motorcycle is then hand-built by our artisans, who carefully assemble every component. This obsessive attention to detail extends to the testing phase, where each piece is meticulously examined, both functionally and aesthetically, before being delivered to our collectors.
The new MV Agusta Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro is both a dream and a work of art. Distinctive stylistic elements include round headlights referencing MV Agusta’s past, horizontally developed lines, and the aesthetic enhancement of using precious materials like carbon fibre, genuine leather, Alcantara and titanium. The design of the Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro pays homage to the legendary MV Agusta F4 750 Serie Oro, as highlighted by the stylized-star-shaped wheels and the 4-exit titanium exhaust system. The meticulous attention to every detail ensures harmony between forms, materials, and performance. The glorious past of MV Agusta is revived on the Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro through the choice of the color scheme: Ago Silver, Pearl Shock Red, and Ciclistica Gold.
In the Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro, technology and style merge to create a true sculpture on two wheels. One of the most characteristic elements, is the presence of aerodynamic wings, marking a new paradigm in the design and development of new MV Agusta models and inspired by the brand’s glorious past. Beyond the crucial quest for the best aerodynamic penetration coefficient (Cx), the engineers also focused on optimizing vertical load (Cz), with significant benefits for riding dynamics, ensuring incredible stability, a fundamental factor given the exceptional performance of the bike in terms of both top speed and acceleration. The aerodynamic wings on the fairing are not only elements with a strong visual impact but are perfectly integrated into the overall fluid dynamics management. Extensive tests have shown that at high speeds, the bike offers absolute directional precision and stability, without sacrificing manoeuvrability and agility in different riding conditions. The analysis of aerodynamic flows, derived from aeronautics techniques, was a fundamental part of the development of the Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro, resulting in a final version of the bike that ensures optimal rider protection at high speeds, improved overall comfort, performance optimization, perfect engine breathing, and hot air dissipation to ensure optimal usage conditions.
The material chosen to give the Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro its aesthetic shape is carbon fibre, used in two different processes: press-moulded and laminated. This dual approach adds further stylistic refinement, enhancing both the visual appeal and structural integrity of the motorcycle. Carbon fibre is not only used for its lightweight properties but also for its incredible strength and durability, which are crucial for high-performance motorcycles. There are 41 carbon fibre components, including the dashboard support, chain guard, full fairing, and other parts in the dedicated kit. This extensive use of carbon fibre contributes to the bike’s aggressive and sophisticated look, ensuring high performance and durability. Titanium is also a prominent element on the Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro, the bespoke Akrapovic 4-exit exhaust, as well as the fasteners, are made of such element. Adding further elegance and exclusivity, genuine leather is used on the belt that runs along the fuel tank. The Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro aims to appeal to the tactile senses as well. To achieve this, the seat was meticulously crafted with a blend of leather and Alcantara.
The Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro shocases a four-cylinder inline engine capable of delivering 208 HP (153 kW) at 13,000 RPM and 116.5 Nm of torque at 11,000 RPM. Thanks to the use of 16 radial titanium valves, a distinctive feature of all MV Agusta four-cylinder engines, forged titanium connecting rods, and DLC-coated cams, the engine of the Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro can reach 14,000 RPM, and thanks to the countershaft, it maintains minimal vibration, resulting in a smooth driving experience even at performance limits.
The engine management is entrusted to the integrated MVICS 2.1 system (Motor & Vehicle Integrated Control System) with 8 injectors: 4 lower and 4 uppers with increased flow rate.
The engine’s sound emanates from the 4-exit titanium exhaust, specifically developed by Akrapovic for the Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro, boasting its disctinctive “organ pipe” shape, an additional tribute to the F4. Enhanced with a carbon fiber heat shield, the exhaust system has been finely tuned to deliver an iconic sound, ensuring an unparalleled sensory experience.
The Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro features meticulously calibrated electronics which can be managed through the 5.5″ TFT dashboard, including a disengageable traction control with eight intervention levels for various conditions and an FLC (Front Lift Control) system that optimizes wheelies for optimal acceleration, working with Launch Control. It offers four Riding Modes: Rain, Sport, Race and Custom, which allows adjustments to throttle sensitivity, engine torque, braking, and suspension settings. The MV EAS 4.0 enables seamless upshifting and downshifting even with an open throttle, while the Ride by Wire system includes a torque management algorithm that facilitates Cruise Control disengagement. Additionally, the bike is equipped with a GPS module that integrates with the MV Ride app for navigation, trip recording, and route sharing, enhancing the riding experience and fostering a community of riders.
The Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro features a meticulously crafted chassis and suspension system designed for optimal performance and aesthetics. The trellis frame is made of high-strength steel tube and is integrated with aluminum plates that hinge the single-sided swingarm, also crafted from aluminum alloy. The suspension system includes an advanced Öhlins electronic setup. At the front, 43mm diameter upside-down forks with 120mm travel, treated with a TiN surface finish, offer electronic adjustments for compression, rebound, and manual spring preload. An electronically adjustable Öhlins steering damper provides automatic or manual intervention for stability customisation. At the rear, the system is completed by an Öhlins mono-shock with a 36mm diameter and 120mm travel, also electronically adjustable for rebound and compression. Preload is manually adjustable.
The braking system is of the highest quality, with MV Agusta relying on Brembo for superior performance. It includes 320mm front discs with aluminum flanges and radial Stylema calipers with 30mm pistons, operated by a Brembo radial master cylinder. At the rear, a 220mm disc with a Brembo 2-piston caliper with a 34mm diameter ensures balanced stopping power. The ABS system, with cornering and Rear Lift up Mitigation (RLM) functions, manages the braking power with two levels of intervention: Sport and Race.
For the Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro, Pirelli has developed a dedicated version of the Diablo Supercorsa SP V4 with a distinctive red profile, adding refinement and exclusivity to the bike, perfectly complementing its incredible power and agility.
