Features
1083cc twin-cylinder engine
These adventure bikes feature a narrow parallel-twin engine that delivers torque smoothly throughout the RPM range, making them great for both city riding and highway cruising.
Parallel-twin engine layout
The bike’s front wheel can tuck in closer to the engine thanks to the parallel-twin engine layout. This shortens the wheelbase, making the bike more agile on and off the road.
Twin intakes
It utilizes a unique twin air intake system featuring two vertical filtration elements, resulting in excellent engine performance even during extended riding in dusty conditions.
10.5:1 compression ratio
For 2024, the compression ratio was increased to 10.5:1 and the valve timing was revised, producing a 7% increase in midrange horsepower and torque — ideal for adventure riders.
Larger exhaust pipes
The muffler-exit pipes were enlarged on both models to enhance performance and sound quality.
Unicam® engine design
Honda’s compact Unicam® cylinder-head layout allows for optimal engine placement and superior airflow performance.
Compact dual-catalyzer exhaust
Using CBR1000RR-derived muffler-valve technology, the exhaust reduces emissions while improving rideability and power output.
270-degree-phase crank
A 270° crank provides a smooth, tractable power delivery and an unmistakable exhaust note, especially useful in low-traction terrain.
Dry-sump engine
The compact dry-sump design increases ground clearance and removes the vulnerability found in traditional wet-sump engines.
Long-travel front suspension
The standard model features a fully adjustable 45mm Showa fork with 8.0 inches of travel, while Adventure Sports models offer 7.3 inches paired with a 19-inch front wheel.
Selectable ABS
Three ABS modes are available: on-road, off-road, and a rear-off mode specifically for dirt riding.
Cornering ABS
A 6-axis IMU enables cornering ABS, adjusting braking force based on lean angle for safer cornering.
Low center of gravity
A compact engine layout and centralized heavy components improve handling and stability.
Electronically controlled suspension
SHOWA EERA® suspension provides five electronically selectable damping modes for instant adjustment.
Semi-double-cradle frame
This proven steel frame design is inspired by Honda’s Dakar-winning Rally bikes, built for extreme conditions.
Steel frame
The frame is nearly 4 lbs lighter and features a stiffer steering head for improved rider feedback.
Four-piston calipers
Twin radial-mounted four-piston calipers provide stronger braking with increased rigidity for better feel.
Refined swingarm
Lightweight and rigid, the swingarm is adapted from CRF450R motocross technology for durability and performance.
Hollow steel axles
Large-diameter hollow axles offer excellent strength and reduced weight at both ends of the bike.
Rear suspension
Standard models get fully adjustable Pro-Link® rear suspension with 8.7 inches of travel. Adventure Sports models include electronic preload adjustment and 7.9 inches of travel.
Electronic preload adjustment
Four electronically selectable preload settings make suspension adjustment effortless.
Tires and wheels
Wire-spoked wheels come standard. Base models use 21″/18″ for off-road performance, while Adventure Sports models feature a 19″ front and wider rims for road use.
Tubeless tires
All Africa Twin models now feature tubeless tires for cooler operation and easier puncture repair.
Ride modes
Six ride modes: Tour, Urban, Gravel, Off-Road, User 1, and User 2 — fully customizable to match your riding style.
Six-speed automatic Dual-Clutch Transmission
The DCT models offer manual paddle shifting or fully automatic operation with a robust steel-gear transmission.
Six-speed manual transmission
A lightweight, durable six-speed manual gearbox with a traditional clutch lever is available on all non-DCT models.
