The reliable 313cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine remains the heart of this motorcycle, delivering 25 kW (34 HP) at 9,500 rpm and 28 Nm of maximum torque at 7,500 rpm. With its unique design characteristics, including cylinder inclination to the rear and a rotated cylinder head for optimal combustion air ducting, the G 310 GS is an ideal partner for dynamic motorcycling pleasure.
The engine has been upgraded with an electronic throttle grip and automatic idle speed increase when starting, providing a more sensitive throttle response and reduced risk of stalling. The self-boosting anti-hopping clutch also enhances driving safety during braking manoeuvres and reduces operating forces at the clutch lever.
