The Husqvarna FE 350 stands out for its exceptional versatility, effortlessly navigating varied terrain with its lightweight chassis and impressive all-round performance. At the heart of this capable machine lies a DOHC 350cc engine, renowned for its well-balanced power-to-weight ratio, rivaling that of its 450cc counterparts while retaining the agile handling of a 250cc bike.
The FE 350’s engine boasts a refined architecture, sharing much of its design with the 250cc engine. This clever design enables a harmonious blend of 450-rivalling power and the lightweight responsiveness of a 250. Key upgrades include a new cylinder head with a lateral coolant outlet, offering a significant 200g weight reduction. Internally, the DOHC layout features new camshafts with optimized timing and low-friction DLC coated finger followers, complemented by lightweight titanium valves and a new cylinder head cover, spark plug, and spark plug connector.
The bike’s updated cooling architecture and forged bridged-box-type piston work in tandem to deliver exceptional power, while lowering oscillating masses and increasing revs. This impressive performance is further enhanced by the optimized piston crown and new cylinder head gasket, resulting in a higher compression ratio of 13.5:1. The upgraded crankshaft ensures improved reliability and longer service intervals of 135 hours, thanks to a new bushing-type bearing at the connecting rod and two force-fitted bearing shells at the big-end bearing.
The frame is also a highlight, crafted from high-quality chrome-moly steel using advanced laser-cut and robot-welded techniques.
