BMW R 1100RT (1995 – 96)

BMW R 1100RT (1995 - 96)

The BMW R 1100 RT is a masterclass in engineering, blending the best of sport and tour riding in one potent package. Its eight-valve, air-cooled boxer engine produces a smooth and refined sound, but don’t be fooled – 85% of its torque is available from just 3,000 rpm, making it a low and midrange performer that’s hard to resist.

The Telelever front suspension and Paralever rear work in tandem with a sophisticated braking system, featuring twin 305mm four-pot front brakes and a single-pot 276 rear brake, to provide exceptional handling and control. Add to that the variable rebound setting on the rear shock and you have a machine that’s begging to be carved up through the twisties.

With its full-coverage fairing and large hard saddlebags, the R 1100 RT is the epitome of sport-touring, a machine that’s equally at home on the open road or tackling a mountain pass. And yet, despite its touring credentials, it’s the agility and responsiveness of this bike that truly sets it apart, making it a joy to ride for both seasoned veterans and newcomers alike. The BMW R 1100 RT is the ultimate sport-touring motorcycle.
