Ducati Monster 1200R (2019)

Ducati Monster 1200R (2019)

The Ducati Monster 1200R is a beast of a bike, with a potent Testastretta 11 DS R version twin-cylinder engine delivering 152 horsepower and 97 lb-ft of torque.

Compared to the Monster 1200 S, this engine produces 10% more power and 5.5% more torque, making it a true naked supersport bike that can hold its own on a race track while still providing comfort during daily commutes.

Its redesigned tailpiece, seat, and high-mounted plate holder exude the R spirit, and the bike’s set-up and technical features are perfectly in line with its powerful engine. The Monster 1200R boasts a higher stance than its S counterpart, allowing for more extreme lean angles and making the most of its Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP tyres.

The addition of new suspensions, Hlins steering damper, and separate rider and passenger footpegs further enhance its racing-inspired riding experience. With a dry weight of just 180 kg (397 lb), thanks to lightweight components such as forged wheels and carbon fibre parts, the Monster 1200R is an absolute thrill machine that’s also equipped with the Ducati Safety Pack for enhanced performance and safety.
