The Aprilia RSV 1000 Mille exudes a unique riding experience, courtesy of its exceptional seating position that places the rider atop the bike rather than integrated with it.
This design choice can take some getting used to, but once you start giving the bike its head, you’ll be rewarded with outstanding performance. The suspension is slightly stiff, but the initial part of the stroke is surprisingly supple, absorbing even the biggest hits with ease.
The engine is a masterclass in engineering, boasting a silky-smooth operation free from the characteristic shudders and shakes often associated with V-Twin motorcycles. With excellent bottom-end pull and a strong mid-range, this engine is a joy to ride.
On twisty roads, the Aprilia’s remarkable drive out of corners is undeniable, as evidenced by the large black lines peeling off from behind the rear tyre during spirited riding. Brembo brakes deliver plenty of power when needed, although a bit more effort through the lever is required.
